Ibiza Gran Hotel, a 5-star Grand Luxury hotel, is a landmark in Ibiza, located on the central Paseo Marítimo, near Marina Botafoch and a short walk from Dalt Vila. The award-winning Open Spa Hotel has haute cuisine restaurants, including one with a Michelin star, as well as the only casino on the island.
The hotel underwent a major renovation and expansion of its facilities, led by the Colmenares Vilata architecture studio, which incorporated various industrialized systems for the facades, as well as sophisticated interior design.
The aim was to unify the two interventions architecturally and visually, giving the hotel the exclusivity it deserves, through a series of elegant staggered volumes and a delicate interplay of vertical aluminum slats clad in Geolam (Gamiz Group) industrialized wood and lightweight facades with Neolith FCV cladding, under the executive and industrial direction of Talleres Inox, which was responsible for the facades and exterior envelopes.
The elegant vertical aluminum slats, with a resin and wood finish, on the vertical and continuous planes of the new rear façade allow for control of direct sunlight, providing privacy, dynamism, and a unified and renewed image to the whole. A hybrid Geolam profile, made of aluminum clad with technological wood in Teak color, with a section of 126×28 mm, gives a warm, natural appearance, highly resistant to the marine environment where the hotel is located, and an impeccable and modern exterior aesthetic to the building.
With regard to the enclosures, also under the direction of Talleres Inox, we highlight the exclusive aluminum carpentry by Schüco and Technal, with KSIF selective coating glass by RIOU.Vidresif.
